[09/26] Step by Step, Together: Highlights From the Silkie Hike

1 min read

Military service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off, and neither does the need for community, connection, and shared purpose.

This past weekend, our local Veterans, supporters, and community members laced up and came together for our annual Silkie Hike. It was an incredible day marked by high energy, great camaraderie, and a powerful reminder of what happens when we stand together to support our nation’s heroes.

Whether you hiked the full distance or cheered on from the sidelines, thank you for bringing your heart and strength to this event.

Looking Ahead: Building Something Extraordinary for 2027

Every event we host is built on one simple truth: mental strength is downstream from physical strength, and healing happens in community.

The success of this year’s hike is just the foundation. We are already laying the groundwork to expand this initiative and turn the 2027 Silkie Hike into a true staple for our entire community. We are excited to bring even more local resources, physical fitness challenges, and connection points for Veterans and their families.

Thank you again to everyone who made this event unforgettable. Keep moving, stay connected, and stay tuned for more updates! #SilkieHike #CommunityFirst #VeteransSupport #HikeWithUs #TheResilienceProject
