[09/25] 2025 Silkie Hike Recap: Short Shorts, Long Miles, Stronger Together

This year’s Silkie Hike was an unforgettable day of community, camaraderie, and resilience. Veterans, families, and supporters came together to walk side by side, honoring those who served and strengthening the bonds within our community.

Thanks to the incredible support from our volunteers, sponsors, and partners, every veteran who joined us walked away with a swag bag filled with gear, gifts, and a reminder that they are never alone.

We were proud to end the hike at the Freedom Paws Armed Forces Celebration, where live music, giveaways, and fellowship kept the spirit going long after the miles were done.

Events like this are more than just a hike—they are proof that when we come together, we can take real steps toward connection, healing, and reducing veteran isolation.

From everyone at The Resilience Project, thank you to all who showed up, supported, sponsored, and spread the word. Because of you, we are building a stronger, healthier veteran community.

Short shorts. Long miles. Stronger together.
